This week Amy of Food, Family and Fun picked Dorie's Chocolate-Banded Ice Cream Torte. I ended up using cookie dough ice cream because what's better than cookie dough, vanilla ice cream, and chocolate? This was a fun recipe to make and Alex really enjoyed it. Getting the chocolate torte made was the easy part. The hard part was creating the perfect layers and waiting enough time between layers. Actually, the hard part was all my fault. I tried to make this in a cup and had trouble removing the dessert from the cup and then my ice cream was so soft that it didn't harden up as much as I wanted. Desserts can't always be perfect....
Looks kind of good.
Not smooth at all.
