Gorgonzola Bacon Quiche

Gorgonzola Bacon Quiche
This quiche is easy to make and you will be so glad that you did. When I made it I got lots of compliments. I mean, you really can't go wrong with cheese and bacon, right? If you like pungent cheeses like gorgonzola and the flavor it creates when combined with bacon then you will definitely love this quiche.

Serves 6 to 8

1 uncooked pie crust (9 inches), store-bought
3 large eggs
3/4 cup heavy cream
~6 oz gorgonzola cheese crumbs
4 slices of thick-cut bacon (you can add more if you want), cooked and crumbled
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp freshly ground black pepper

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Line a pie pan with the pie crust. Fill the pie with the cheese and bacon.

In a small bowl whisk the eggs and cream together. Pour into pie pan, making sure it gets into all the grooves.

Bake until crust and edges turn golden brown and a knife inserted in the middle comes out clean, about 30 minutes.

Remove from oven and allow to cool to room temperature. Slice, serve, and enjoy.
