Mary Anne of Meet Me in the Kitchen chose this week's dessert for TWD. I am so happy she did because I don't know if this is a cake I would have normally chosen myself. This has to be one of the best desserts I have had in a while so if you have Dorie's book at home, I recommend giving this dessert a try. The combination of the fluffy cake (thanks to the eggs that were beat to hell) with the sweet cream cheese, tart strawberries, and whipped cream was magical. Everything went together perfectly. I halved the recipe and made little cakes instead of one big one. Because I had extra of the cream cheese mixture I topped the cakes with the cream cheese as well as with the whipped cream.Make sure to check out the other TWDers to see how they did and don't forget to stop by Mary Anne's blog to see our host did this week.

I bet these turned out delicious judging by the pictures !! Good idea too to half the recipe and make little cupcakes! Sometimes they turn out too sweet and just a little taste it perfect! GREAT JOB!!
