I'd like to think that I matter all the time to everyone, but I know that's not the case. I matter to those who know and/or love me. But today, I matter on a larger scale. I woke up at 6:30am to vote. I felt a rush knowing that my vote would count and that it would help determine not only who would be president for the next 4 years, but also what direction our country will move in. I think it's so important to vote, regardless of which candidate you support, because it's a way to have your voice heard. And, of course, nothing can take away that feeling of mattering.
