Cathy of The Tortefeaser selected Tender Shortcakes for this week's TWD. I made these and they came out delicious. They were sweet and buttery and oh-so-addictive. Unfortunately, I only got one good picture of it. My camera wasn't cooperating, there was a baby I had to get back to, and I couldn't hold Alex off anymore. I didn't have time to go to the store to buy some fruit for the shortcakes so instead I dipped them in a pomegranate syrup. Thanks Cathy for a great selection!

Love pomegranate! Can't wait til the fruit is in season, but the juice is really good, too--though rather expensive. These shortcakes would be really fun to do with a summer fruit, like apricots, peaches with some pretty red poms sprinkles in. Yum, I want that for breakfast right now. ;)
